What We Expect/What You Can Expect
Logs Ready to be Milled
We DO NOT cut standing trees or limb fallen trees. We need your logs to be felled and limbed and staged in an area that we can get our mill beside.
The more work you do before we get on site the greater value you get from our mill.
We can Mill Logs up to 20ft Long x 36” Diameter (28” Slabbing). Our Mill has a Hydraulic Lift to load logs onto the Mill
What you should bring
We come with our mill, chain saws, log levers, and all the tools we need to safely mill logs.
You’ll need to bring:
A Tractor to help move logs onto the mill (If you don’t have a tractor contact us to see about other options)
A Trailer to load and transport your lumber or a suitable nearby location to stack your cut lumber
A cut list for any specific pieces you need
Personal Safety Equipment
Provide at least one helper to offload and stack lumber
What-ifs
What if it rains?
We check the weather forecast before coming out. If it's going to thunderstorm, we will reschedule. If there's a chance of light rain or scattered showers we can still come out, we are not scared of getting a little wet. We handle weather issues case by case and will communicate with you to determine the best solution.
What if your Mill Breaks?
We keep our machines well maintained to avoid issues. We also bring spare parts so we can field repair and get back to work. Only once have we been unable to complete the job, and we came back and finish, once we got our mill running.
What if my logs are too big?
Our Mill can handle logs up to 36” diameter and 20ft log. Beyond that, we can manually split or whittle the logs down to fit for an additional fee. This is dangerous and labor-intensive work so we try to avoid this whenever possible
